Abstract

The purpose of the research study was to determine and analyze the metaphors of the preschool education candidates regarding the concept of the Creativity. The research was involved 2 different classes of students Department of Preschool Education. The data were gathered through a form which included the phrase of “Creativity is like . . . because . . .” developed by the researchers . Data was analyzed both quantitatively (i.e., content analysis) and quantitatively (i.e., chi-square). After the data analysis, it was observed that the students generated 53 valid metaphorical images were identified and they are collected under 7 different conceptual categories. Significant differences are determined in the 7 conceptual themes as participants class level, don't significant differences are 7 conceptul themes as participants age level.
