PERCEPTIONS OF SCHOOL MANAGERS ABOUT ORGANIZATIONAL CREAVITY AND SELF-EFFICACY LEVELS OKUL YÖNETİCİLERİNİN ÖRGÜTSEL YARATICILIK VE ÖZ-YETERLİK DÜZEYLERİNE İLİŞKİN GÖRÜŞLERİ
The purpose of this paper, determine the perceptions of school managers about organizational creativity and self-efficacy and to determine whether there are significant differences between the perceptions according to their gender, marital status, type of school, position at school, years of experience in management, years of experience, education level and age variables. The population of the study is 42 principals and 98 a vice-principal of secondary and high schools in Bolu. 105 school managers participated in the study. In the study, “The Organizational Creativity Inventory" developed by Balay (2010) and Turkish form of "Self-Efficacy Scale" developed by Gözüm and Aksayan (1999) were used. In the study frequency, percentage values and mean and standard deviation scores were calculated. Additionally, Mann Whitney - U and Kruskal-Wallis tests were used. For the analysis of the data SPSS 17.0 was used. Concerning the organizational creativity competencies of administrators, no significant differences were observed according to the gender, marital status, position at school, type of school, years of experience, years of experience in management and age. When the self-efficacy of administrators are concerned, no significant differences were found according to the gender, marital status, position at school, type of school, years of experience and age; on the other hand, there were significant differences according to years of experience in management in favor of school managers having 6-10 years of experience in management on organizational creativity. According to results, there is a positive, statistically significant and medium level relationship between the organizational creativity and self-efficacy of school principals.
