Abstract

As it is known, Turkish is now taught not only in Turkey but also in many countries around the world as a foreign language through a variety of institutions and organizations. One of the regions where Turkish is so popular as a foreign language is Middle East, and Iran is undoubtedly the country with the highest interest of the Turkish language. Turkey Turkish teaching has been done through various institutions in our historical neighbor,Iran, for many years, and thousands of Iranians learn Turkish every year. Turkish and Persian are two major languages which have been in reciprocal relations for centuries. A common vocabulary of thousands of words between Turkish and Persian has occurred as a result of this reciprocal relationship. A significant portion of those words from the same source has begun to be used differently in Turkish and Persian. Errors of Iranians who learn Turkey Turkish as a foreign language resulting from false equivalence has been the basis of this study, and accordingly, some present false equivalent words between Turkish-Persian and Turkish- Azerbaijan (Iranian Azerbaijan) Turkish has been given in tables. In addition, suggestions needed to prevent the expression errors resulting from false equivalence have been presented at the end of the study. Research has been conducted by screening method.
