Abstract

This research has been performed in order to determine the existing learning strategies of adults and examine them according to several variables, in contemplation of that it would contribute to education planning, studies to be done during the teaching coordination phase and body of literature. The relational screening model has been used in this research. This research consists of 350 adult students who participated in Pedagogical Formation Course of Education Faculty of Anadolu University in 2014-2015 school year. These students include the ones who are above the age of 20 and graduates or about to graduate. The data of the research has been collected through learning strategies scale. The scale is a four-factor scale consisting of 36 items and Cronbach Alfa coefficient has been found 0,92 within the framework of scale reliability study. As a result of the research, it is revealed that women in comparison with men utilize the learning strategies more and no substantive relationship between the school type of graduation and the learning strategies utilized has been acquired.
