Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the problems of physical education teachers according to some variables. In order to do this, a questionnaire was administered to 93 p.e teachers in Tokat. The questionnaire included 29 items, 5 of which were about demographic information. The questionnaire’s validity was 0.984 and its expectancy rate was 0.905 The items in the questionnaire were in the form of Likert type. After having permissions from Tokat education directorate, the questionnaire was administered and the SPSS program was used in order to analyze the data. The level chosen for statistical meaningfulness was 0.05. As a result, it was found that there were some vocational problems in terms of p.e. facilities and materials, course syllabuses, students’ interest to p.e course, school administration and students’ parents. It was found that p.e. facilities, materials and the number of hours for p.e. courses were insufficient, administrators and students’ parents did not give enough importance to p.e courses and students’ parents lacked realationships with the teachers.
