THE CURRENT STATUS OF DISTANCE EDUCATION IN THE WORLD AND TURKEY

Abstract
Education has always been of great significance in developed and developing societies. Because education is the main point of the personal and intellectual development. With the development of technology education concept moved to a different size and has become a fixed part of the training depending on the development of technology. Distance education concept has emerged with the use of internet technologies in education. This study mainly focuses on the history of distance education and the current status of distance education in the World and Turkey are examined.
