Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the expectations of the students from a higher education institute by identifying the issues that affect their decision regarding university selection of freshman students or retention of the present students. It also aims at present-ing suggestions that require paying attention while creating organi-zational image of a university. This study was conducted with the participation of 20 freshmen students attending to Anadolu Universi-ty Educational Faculty in spring term in 2013-2014. The method of this study is qualitative case study. The findings show that the partic-ipants took the reputation, the quality of education and faculty, fa-cilities and opportunities that the university and the city that the university is located offer to the students in the consideration. The findings of this study is hoped to shed light on the issues that a high-er education institute could consider developing as a part of their organizational image.
