Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine self-sufficiency of 1 st, 2nd, 3th graduate student of Faculty of Education in Sinop University on some variable such as gender, class level, grade and the type of schools where they had been graduated. A total of 80 graduate student participated in the study. In the study, it was used “teaching own-Qualification Scale” whice Kahyaoglu and Yangın (2007) translated to Turkish in order to measure self sufficiency of the graduate students. Independent t-tests and one way ANOVA were used in resolving datas achieved. According to the result of the study, self-sufficiency of students was detected to change to a remerkable level as depending on gender. The male student had higher self sufficiency than female students. As a result, it is considered that gender affects self-sufficiency on the teacher candidates.
