Abstract

Our education system is generally carried out by traditional methods. This creates problems in reaching the desired level of interest of the students. This work is based on the constructive approach of Science Education. In this study, it was aimed to make a learning model according to 7E Model and to reveal the effect of the model on student success. In our study, high school 3rd grade, 58 students constitute the experimental group of our practice. In our study, high school was in 3rd grade and 55 students were in control group. A significant difference was observed in the academic achievement of students due to the fact that the course was divided into meiosis and sexual reproduction according to the 7E Model and the traditional method. Subject analysis test (SAT) was applied as pre-test and post-test to the experimental and control groups in order to determine the student achievement within the scope of the research. While the achievement levels of the experiment and control groups were close to each other while the results of the study were similar to each other, there were differences in favor of the experimental group among the results of the study. His suggests that practical training is more useful than traditional method training.
