Abstract

This research was conducted to investigate the effects of attitudes towards music on the achievement of music and music technology to daily life in primary school eighth grade students. The universe of the research carried out with the descriptive type relational screening model is a total of 162 elementary school 8th grade students in Kastamonu province and all the 8th grade students in Kastamonu province and the sample of them in various schools in Kastamonu city center. Attitudes scale was used in order to determine students 'attitudes towards music and music technology and achievement test in order to determine students' daily life associations with music and music technology. Taking into account the achievement test used, the content of the music program, its aims, student achievements and expert opinions; Music, painting and physical education fields. A pilot study was conducted to investigate the reliability and validity of this test and also to identify the expressions and questions that are not understood by the students. This pilot study was applied to 77 students from 8th grade primary school students. The SPSS 11.5 package program was used to calculate the reliability of the test, obtained from the pilot study, and the reliability coefficient of the test was found to be 0.78 according to the analysis results obtained.
