Abstract

In this research, it was aimed to determine the self-efficacy of the teacher candidates for the standards of educational technology. Although similar research has been done before, current teacher candidates are now in the digital indigenous group. In this respect, the research is designed with the expectation that the candidate teachers have more use of technology today. Educational technology standards, self - efficacy, sex, as well as academic success and teaching self - efficacy variables have been investigated. The research was carried out with 2016-2017 educational year Necmettin Erbakan University education faculty with senior teacher candidates. Measuring instrument data, composed of 41 items and 6 factors, developed by Çoklar and Odabaşı (2008) were collected. As a result of the research, it was found that the teacher candidates had moderate level of education technology standard self-efficacy score but only some dimensions in terms of sub dimensions and medium level average in high dimensions. According to the sexes, while the education technology self-efficacy of teacher candidates did not differ, academic achievement and teaching self-efficacy differed.
