Abstract

The study was conducted to examine the relation between the value behaviours and motivation levels of the children of 48 to 72 months attending a preschool education organization. The study was planned in relational screening model. The study group consists of 270 children in the age group between 48 and 72 years attending to the kindergarten of the primary schools, independent and private preschools in the Yenimahalle district of Ankara in the education year of 2017 to 2018. The children were selected by the simple random sampling method. “Personal Information Form”, “Motivation Scale for Preschool Children (The Dimensions of Mastery Questionnaire DMQ18)” and “Scale for Values in Behaviour” were used as the data collection tool in the study. As a result of the study, a medium positive and significant relation was found between the scores of the children from the “Scale for Values in Behaviour” and the subscales of the “Motivation Scale for Preschool Children” including Cognitive Persistence Scale, Gross Motor Persistence Scale, Scale for Social Persistence with Adults, Scale for Social Persistence with Children, Superior Satisfaction Scale, Negative Reaction Scales and General Qualification (p<0.01).
