Abstract

In this scientific research, the level of burnout and life satisfaction of the classroom teachers of special education were examined from the perspective of gender, place of employment and variables of willingness to choose or not their job. The data were collected through a Personal Information Form, Copenhagen Burnout Inventory and Life Satisfaction Inventory. According to the collected data with life satisfaction inventory, it is seen that teachers have a medium-level satisfaction from life. When we look at the variable of the residence where the duty is made, it is seen that the life satisfaction is the least in the provincial centers and that these differences are not meaningful statistically. We did not find a significant difference between the variable of teachers' willingness to select their occupation. As a result, the life satisfaction decreases as the burnout increases in the individuals. So there is a negative relationship between them.
