The study group consists of 512 primary and secondary school students studying in Antalya and Izmir in the 2019-2020 academic year. In this research, in order to reveal the perceptions of elementary and secondary school students about the concept of peace, “Peace in my opinion… is similar; because… ” from each studentwas asked to complete the sentence. Content analysis technique was used to evaluate the obtained data. The analysis and interpretation of metaphors was carried out in five stages, “naming, sieving and refining, category development phase, ensuring validity and reliability, transferring data to the computer environment”. Primary school students produced a total of 50 valid metaphors about the concept of peace. It is seen that 34 of these metaphors produced were produced by only two students. It was determined that the number of students producing 16 other metaphors varied between 3 and 512 students. As can be seen, many metaphors have been used by elementary school students regarding the concept of peace. It was seen that the most preferred metaphors about the concept of peace by the students were “love”. According to the findings of the research, it was concluded that all the metaphors produced by students are positive and students perceive peace positively.
