Abstract


STUDIES CONDUCTED ABOUT GRAPHIC MATERIAL IN MATHEMATICS EDUCATION IN TURKEY: A CONTENT ANALYSIS
This work; To determine trends which are related to the work of graphic material to use in mathematics education in Turkey, the thesis studies and articles from the years 2000-2017 aims to examine the content analysis. For this purpose, for research data; YOK National Thesis Center, ULAKBİM Social Sciences Database, Google Academic, Turkish Journal Park, Turkish Education Index (TEI), ASSOS index were scanned and 31 thesis and 15 articles were provided. These studies; the graphical material used is looked at the distribution according to the study subjects, learning areas, data collection tools used, sample types and sample sizes. It was determined that the most used graph is the concept map, the most studied topic is the success, and the learning field is the numbers and operations. It has been determined that the most frequently used data collection tool is the success test and most of the studies with middle school students are done. Using various graphic materials, studies on persistence, geometric thinking, misconceptions in different learning areas in different sample groups may be useful.
