MEB (2019) draft coursebooks, educational tools and their e-contents, in the regulations of coursebooks of the Ministry of Education and educational tools, it is stated that coursebooks have been prepared embracing the expected outcomes of the education and training programme in a learning supportive manner and by taking the developmental features of the students into consideration. The study is a qualitative research. The data of the research was collected by document analysis technique. In this study 9th Grade Coursebook Niveau Bien Sur!, which was accepted as the coursebook starting from the 2018-2019 academic educational year with the decision of Ministry of National Education, Board of Education on 25.06.2016, was examined. The underlying criterias when analysing the target coursebook of this research are formal design, scientific content and language – expressional features. In the end of the study, it is clearly seen that the coursebook is convenient in terms of form, content and texts. Considering the scientific content, it is also noticed that criterias are based upon the texts which are, especially in the earlier units, prepared according to A1 level. However, it is also reported that there have been some deficiencies in range of visuals and texts. Therefore, considering the visuals inside and on the cover of the coursebook, especially in A1 level, it might be suggested that visual support for texts, and increase of more attractive and colourful visuals from daily life would generate positive perception of the target language. },author={Cevat EKER-Elif ŞENEL ÖKSÜZ},year={2020},journal={The Journal of International Educational Sciences}}
