Abstract
Teknolojik gelişmelerin ve ürünlerinin yaşamın tüm alanlarını hızlı bir biçimde dönüştürdüğü bir çağa tanıklık etmekteyiz. Bu gelişmeler insanın doğrudan ya da dolaylı olarak etkileşimde bulunduğu tüm alanları etkilemektedir. Metaverse kavramı bu etkiyi yaratma potansiyeline sahiptir. Metaverse’in ekonomiden üretime, para ve bankacılıktan borsacılık hizmetlerine, alışveriş ve reklamcılık hizmetlerinden sağlığa, eğlenceden sinema ve film sektörüne, günlük rutinlerden önemli sosyal ve toplumsal hareketlilikler ile eğitim-öğretim hizmetlerine etki etmesi beklenmektedir. Özellikle eğitim hizmetlerindeki bu değişim, eğitim sürecinde hızlı gelişmelere neden olacaktır. Tüm bu beklentiler ışığında metaverse’in tam olarak anlamlandırılması ve eğitimde kullanım imkanlarının eğitimcilerce bilinir olabilmesi önemlidir. Genel literatür taramasına dayanan nitel bir eğitim bilim araştırması olan bu araştırmada metaverse kavramı üzerinde bilgilendirici bir analiz yapılarak metaverse ve eğitim alanına ilişkin güncel bilgilerin kazandırılması amaçlanmıştır. Metaverse ile elde edilen bilgiler bilimsel araştırma sistematiği bağlamımda düzenlenerek bu araştırmada sunulmuştur. Metaverse eğitimde öncelikle ve özellikle uzaktan eğitimde iletişimi artıracaktır. Uzaktan iletişim zenginleşecek ve sadece 2b iletişim yerine 3b iletişim de öğrencilere sağlanacaktır. İletişimle birlikte öğrencilerin deneyim kazanabilecekleri önemli otantik ortamlar sağlayacaktır.

Abstract
We are witnessing an era in which technological developments and the technological products brought about by these developments rapidly transform all areas of life. These development affect directly or indirectly humans in all areas. A current situation that creates this effect is the concept of the metaverse. Metaverse is expected to affect from economy to production, from banking to stock exchange services, from shopping and advertising services to health, from entertainment to cinema and film industry, and from daily routines to important social and education services. Especially, the change in educational services will contribute to rapid developments in school and its components with learning processes. In the light of all these expectations, it is important that the metaverse is fully understood and that the possibilities of its use in education are known to the educators. This research, which is qualitative educational science research based on a general literature review, is aimed to provide current information on the metaverse and the field of education by making an informative analysis of the concept of the metaverse. The information obtained about the Metaverse in the literature was organized in the context of scientific research systematics and presented in this research. In the sight of that information, some suggestions have been presented for the field of education regarding the metaverse in education.
