Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı, eğitim kurumlarındaki yöneticilerin sosyal sorumluluk ve hesap verebilirlikle ilgili görüşlerini saptamaktır. Türkiye’de sosyal sorumluluk ve hesap verebilirlik konusunda işletmelerle ilgili araştırmaların yapıldığı ancak eğitim kurumlarıyla ilgili çalışmaların sınırlı olması ve bu konuyla ilgili herhangi bir çalışmanın yapılmamış olması, çalışmanın yapılmasındaki en önemli etkendir. Bu çalışmada, sosyal sorumluluk ve hesap verebilirlik kavramı açıklığa kavuşturularak sosyal sorumluluk ve hesap verebilirlik, tarihsel süreç içerisinde incelenmiştir. Eğitim kurumlarındaki sosyal sorumluluk ve hesap verebilirlikle ilgili ampirik bir çalışma eşliğinde incelenmiş ve bu doğrultuda sosyal sorumluluk anlayışının, hesap verebilirliğin ve şeffaflığın geliştirilmesi için çözüm önerilerine yer verilmiştir.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the views of administrators in educational institutions about social responsibility and accountability. The most important factor in conducting the study is that there are studies on social responsibility and accountability in Turkey, but the studies on educational institutions are limited and no study has been done on this subject. In this study, the concept of social responsibility and accountability has been clarified and social responsibility and accountability have been examined in the historical process. Social responsibility and accountability in educational institutions have been examined in conjunction with an empirical study, and accordingly, solution proposals have been included to improve the understanding of social responsibility, accountability and transparency.
