Abstract
İkinci dünya savaşında ağır yaralar almasına rağmen büyük bir atılım yaparak çağı yakalayan hatta çağın ilerlemesine katkılar sağlayan Japon şirket yönetimleri yönetim bilimcilerin dikkatini çekmiştir. Örgütlerde Zen kuramı, teorisyen William G. Ouchi tarafından Amerikan şirket yönetimleri ile Japon şirket yönetimlerinin kıyaslanmasıyla geliştirilmiştir. Ouchi, bu analizlerinde yedi temel nokta üzerinde durmuştur. Bunlar; çalışanlarda bağlılık, değerlendirme, kariyer gelişimi, kontrol veya denetim, karar verme, sorumluluk ve çalışanlara ilgi olarak sıralanabilir. Bu yedi temel nokta üzerinden geliştirilen Zen kuramının eğitim örgütlerinde ve okullarda uygulanabilirliğine yönelik olarak da çalışmalar yapılmış ve ilgili literatüre kazandırılmıştır. Bu araştırmanın amacı, okullarda Zen kuramının uygulanabilirliğine yönelik yönetici ve öğretmen görüşlerini ortaya koymak, yönetici ve öğretmenler açısından Zen kuramının temel unsurlarının uygulanabilirliğini saptamaktır. Araştırmada betimsel tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma grubunu Ankara ili Çankaya ilçesi kamu ortaokullarındaki yöneticiler ve öğretmenler oluşturmaktadır. Okul yöneticileri ve öğretmenlerin görüşleri, görüşme yoluyla alınmıştır. Yöneticilere ve öğretmenlere açık uçlu sorular sorulmuş ve cevaplar niteliksel analiz teknikleriyle çözümlenmiştir. Okullarda Zen kuramının uygulanabilirliğine dair yedi temel nokta belirlenmiş ve bu noktalar üzerinde araştırmanın amacı geliştirilmiştir. Bunlar; istihdam, değerleme ve terfi, kariyer basamakları, kontrol ve denetim mekanizması, açık ve tam bir değerlendirme, çalışanların görüş birliğine dayalı karar verme süreci, bireysel sorumluluk ve çalışana bütüncül yaklaşımdır. Ülkemizdeki okullarda Zen kuramının uygulanabilirliği ve kısıtlılıkları genellikle kuram üzerinden yapılan çalışmalarla açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu çalışma ile Zen kuramının okullarda uygulanabilirliği yönetici ve öğretmenlerin bakış açılarıyla ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır.

Abstract
Although they suffered severe wounds in the Second World War the management of the Japanese companies, which made a great leap forward and even contributed to the advancement of the age, attracted the attention of management scientists. Zen theory in organizations was developed by the theoretician William G. Ouchi by comparing American company management with Japanese company management. Ouchi emphasized seven key points in his analysis. These; employee loyalty, assessment, career development, control or supervision, decision-making, responsibility and interest to employees. Studies on the applicability of Zen theory developed on these seven main points in educational organizations and schools were also made and related literature was gained. The aim of this research is to reveal the views of administrators and teachers about the applicability of Zen theory in schools and to determine the applicability of the basic elements of Zen theory in terms of administrators and teachers. Descriptive scanning method was used in the study. The research group consists of administrators and teachers in public secondary schools in Çankaya district of Ankara. The opinions of school administrators and teachers were obtained through interviews. Administrators and teachers were asked open-ended questions and the answers were analyzed by qualitative analysis techniques. Seven main points about the applicability of Zen theory in schools were identified and the aim of the research on these points was developed. These; employment, valuation and promotion, career ladder, control and supervision mechanism, clear and complete assessment, consensus decision making process of employees, individual responsibility and holistic approach to the employee. The applicability and limitations of Zen theory in schools in our country have been tried to be explained with the studies done on the theory. In this study, the applicability of Zen theory in schools has been tried to be revealed from the perspectives of teachers and administrators.
