Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out the effects of teachers who have leading features on the school culture, accordingly to offer suggestions to researchers and practioners based on the perceptions of school principals who work in public schools. The present research which is based on general screening model was conducted with 30 principals and 108 teachers whom were chosen by the criterion sampling method from state primary, secondary and high schools in 2013-2014 academic year in Lüleburgaz, Kırklareli. Data for the purpose of the study was colleceted by “Who is the leading teacher? " form which was developed by the researcher and by the "Organizational Culture Survey” which was created by Şişman(1994) to determine the effects of leading teachers on the school culture. Based on the findings obtained in this study, doing studies that are dealing with the devotional feelings of the leading teachers and their vocational fields, doing studies upon the leading teachers’ ideas to decide in what areas in-service teachers' training activities for the professional development of the teachers can be made, doing field studies by taking the opinions of the leading teacher into consideration on the subject of how to do the teachers board meetings more productive at school, while the principals are working with teachers they should behave accordingly knowing in detail the distinctive features of their seniority and they should use appropriate language for communication with them who have leadership qualities was expressed in suggestions.
