Abstract

This study examines the place of kitsch phenomenon in art education in the triangle of art, aesthetics and critical pedagogy. Thus, the main aim of the research is to examine prospective teachers’ views about critical pedagogy, phenomenon of kitsch, aesthetic according to various variables. Students views, in which a semi-structured interview technique was used, an interview form with six questions detected . Each interview with a student took fourty minutes. This study is a qualitative study and configured with descriptive-scanning method. Information gathered through literature scanning and depth interview, the data obtained is interpreted. By means of inductive data analysis, the information obtained was transformed into themes with frequency and percentage
