Abstract

In this study, the perceptions of organizational trust and organizational citizenship behaviours (OCB) of middle school teachers working in public and private schools were determined, it is examined whether these perceptions were differed according to school type and whether there was a meaningful relationship between organizational trust and OCB. According to research findings, the level of organizational trust and organizational citizenship behaviours of middle school teachers working in public and private schools was determined as high. Teachers' perceptions of organizational trust and organizational citizenship behaviors differ according to the school type they are working. Teachers working in private schools feel more organizational trust and exhibit more organizational citizenship behaviours han teachers working in public schools. Data of the research was obtained from 1008 teachers who are working in public and private middle schools in Istanbul.
