Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect on students’ self description levels of implementing educational game in physical education course. This study was carried Out with eighth grade students in a secondary school in Bolu of 2015-2016 education year. This study was a experimental design with pre-post test control groups. Totally 48 students were participated in this study, 24 students inexperiment group and 24 students in control group. In data collection, Self Description Scale was used by develeoped Marsh (1992) and This scale was adapted to Turkis by Yıldız and Fer (2008). In statistical analysis two-way Anova for repeated measures was applied. İn result of this sduy, there has been significant difference between experimental group and control group which has been in favor of experimental group. Students’ perceptioans physical abilities, physical apparences, peer relations and general self description in experimental grup is significantly difference than students in control group.
