DETERMINING THE LEVEL OF CHARACTERISTICS OF PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS TOWARDS CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE EDUCATION ÖĞRETMEN ADAYLARININ ÇOK KÜLTÜRLÜ EĞİTİME YÖNELİK KİŞİLİK ÖZELİKLERİNİ GÖSTERME DÜZEYİ
According to the multidisciplinary personality dimensions of Van der Zee and Van Ou-denhoven (2002, 2003), this research has examined the level of multicultural personality traits of presevice teachers participating in pedagogical formation training at the educational faculty of Haci Bektaş Veli University in Nevşehir, and to determine whether they differ according to some variables. The arithmetic mean, the mann-Whitney U test and the ANOVA test was used. As a result; Teacher candidates have a higher level of multicultural personality traits. While there were significant differences in some dimensions of multicultural personality characteris-tics according to the variables of gender and age, there was no difference in some dimensions. On the other hand, there was no significant difference between the characteristics of the multi-cultural personality of the preservice teachers according to the variables of the occupational field and the region.
