THE EFFECT OF THE FOURTH AND FIVE-YEAR CLASS STUDENTS ON THE ENVIRONMENTAL LITERACY OF THE PRIMARY SCHOOL OF THE ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT OWN EKOLOJİK AYAK İZİ OYUNLARININ İLKOKUL DÖRT VE BEŞİNCİ SINIF ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN ÇEVRE OKURYAZARLIĞINA ETKİSİ
In this study; it is aimed to investigate the effect of ecological footprint games on environmental literacy of students. The sample of the research using a single group experimental design is composed of twenty two students, twelve girls and ten boys, four and fifth grade students of a public school in Rize. In this study based on mixed method bases, data were collected using the environmental literacy questionnaire, the ecological footprint calculation scale applied three times during the activities and the researcher observation form. Games structured for the implementation of the research, designed as open-ended and guided, were played in the classroom and outside the classroom. Throughout the research, students have calculated their ecological footprints 3 times. The environmental literacy questionnaire was analyzed by environmental sample, affective tendencies towards the environment, responsible behavioral subdimensions towards the environment, and the independent sample t test method using the SPSS package program given on the ecological footprint calculation scale. As a result of the study, it was found that ecological footprint games positively affected the environmental literacy of the students.
