ENGLISH AND TURKISH TEACHER CANDIDATES’ SELF-EFFICACY BELIEFS OF USING CREATIVITY DRAMA İNGİLİZCE VE TÜRKÇE ÖĞRETMEN ADAYLARININ YARATICI DRAMAYI KULLANMAYA YÖNELİK ÖZ-YETERLİKLERİ
The aim of this research is to determine the drama self-efficacy beliefs of the Englisk and Turkish teacher candidates. The sample of the research comprises 218 teacher candidates attending a university in 2012-2013 education year. Creative Drama Self-Efficacy Scale was used to determine the teacher candidates’ self-efficacy beliefs related to the using of creativity drama. In the research, the self-efficacy of the teacher candidates’ for using creativity drama methot was analyzed in terms of gender, class level and the department variable. As a result of analyses, the teacher candidates have a sufficient level of self-efficacy for using creative drama method. They are also ready to use the creative drama method and no difference between the teacher candidates in terms of gender, class level and department. In the light of all these findings, it can be said that the creativity drama lesson provided by the universities has a positive effect.
