THE EXAMINATION OF THE HOUSEWIFES' SELF COMPASSION IN TERMS OF VARIOUS VARIABLES

Abstract

The aim of the study; It is to reveal whether the Self-Compassion of housewives differs significantly in relation to age, spouse profession, marriage time, number of children, education level, work experience and spouse income variables. In the study, a descriptive screening model was used. The sample of the study consisted of 320 housewife who lived in Hatay province and selected by simple random sampling method. The " Self-Compassion Scale (OAO)", which was adapted to Turkish by Deniz, Kesici and Sumer (2008), was used to obtain the data. In the analysis of the data, SPSS was utilized in the Windows 25 program and data was obtained using “Indepented Samples T”, “One Way Anova”, Tukey HSD ve LSD tests. According to the findings obtained; The Self-Compassion averages of housewives with a age of 37 years and older are higher than the Self-Compassion averages of housewives aged 27-31 years and 32-36. The Self-Compassion averages of housewives retiring wife are higher than the average of housewives, who are public servants and freelancers. The Self-Compassion averages of housewives with a duration of 16 years and more are more likely to have a marriage period of less than 1 year, 1-5 years and 6-10 years. Self-Compassion averages of housewives with work experience are higher than the average of housewives without work experience. The average compassion of the variables of the number of children of housewives, spouse profession, spouse income and education level differ significantly.
