A Maths Adventure with Web 2.0: Examining Middle School Students' Problem-Solving Skills and Attitudes Towards It

Abstract
Web 2.0 destekli matematik eğitimi, geleneksel öğretim yöntemlerine göre birçok avantaj sunarak öğrenci başarısını ve ilgisini artırmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Web 2.0 destekli matematik öğretimi kullanılarak 7. sınıf öğrencilerinin hem matematiksel problem çözme becerilerinin hem de matematiksel problem çözmeye yönelik tutumlarının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın sonuçları, Web 2.0 destekli matematik öğretiminin problem çözme becerileri ve buna yönelik tutumlar üzerindeki olumlu etkisine dair kanıtlar sunmanın yanı sıra ders aşamalarındaki rolüne de örnek teşkil etmektedir. Bulgular ışığında, eğitimciler ve araştırmacılar için öneriler sunulmuştur.

Abstract
Web 2.0 supported mathematics education increases student success and interest by offering many advantages compared to conventional teaching methods. In this study, it was aimed to examine both mathematical problem-solving skills and attitudes towards mathematical problem solving of 7th grade students by using web 2.0 supported mathematics teaching. The results of the study provide evidence for the positive effect of Web 2.0-supported mathematics instruction on problem solving skills and attitudes towards it, as well as an example of its role in the course stages. In the light of the findings, recommendations for educators and researchers are presented.
