Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, okul öncesi öğretmen adaylarının etkileşimli çocuk konseri deneyiminin müzik eğitimine yönelik öz-yeterlik inançları üzerindeki etkisini incelemektir. Araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden tek gruplu ön test-son test deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubunu, Balıkesir Üniversitesi Necatibey Eğitim Fakültesi Okul Öncesi Öğretmenliği lisans programında öğrenim gören öğretmen adayları oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın deneysel müdahalesini, etkileşimli çocuk konseri oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak Okul Öncesi Öğretmen Adayları İçin Müzik Eğitimi Öz-Yeterlik İnancı Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler uygun istatistiksel analiz yöntemleriyle değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma bulguları, öğretmen adaylarının müzik eğitimine yönelik öz-yeterlik inançlarının konser deneyimi sonrasında anlamlı düzeyde arttığını göstermektedir.  Bu doğrultuda, öğretmen yetiştirme programlarında kuramsal eğitimin yanı sıra performans ve uygulama temelli müzik deneyimlerine daha fazla yer verilmesinin öğretmen adaylarının mesleki yeterliklerinin desteklenmesi önerilmektedir.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of an interactive children's concert experience on preschool teacher candidates' music education self-efficacy beliefs. The study employed a quantitative research approach using a one-group pretest–posttest experimental design. The study group consisted of preservice preschool teachers enrolled in the Preschool Teacher Education Program at Necatibey Faculty of Education, Balıkesir University. The study's experimental intervention was an interactive children's concert. Data were collected using the Music Education Self-Efficacy Belief Scale for Preschool Teacher Candidates. The collected data were analyzed using appropriate statistical analysis methods. The findings revealed that the participants' music education self-efficacy beliefs increased significantly following the concert experience. Based on these findings, it is recommended that teacher education programs incorporate not only theoretical instruction but also performance- and practice-based musical experiences to support the development of preservice teachers' professional competencies.
