Bu araştırmanın amacı, okul öncesi dönemde doğayla etkileşim temelli gerçekleş-tirilen eğitim etkinliklerinin çocukların doğaya yönelik farkındalıkları üzerindeki etkisini incelemektir. Nicel araştırma deseninde yürütülen çalışmada, Hatay ilin-de okul öncesi eğitim gören 4–6 yaş grubu 972 çocuğa ön test–son test uygulama-ları yapılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak, Doğayla Bağlantı Kurmaya Eğilim Ölçe-ği kullanılmıştır. Ölçek, Google Form aracılığıyla öğretmen veya ebeveyn rehber-liğinde uygulanmış; veriler betimsel istatistiklerle analiz edilmiştir. Ayrıca öğ-retmen gözlem formlarından elde edilen nitel veriler içerik analiziyle değerlendi-rilmiştir. Hatay’da deprem sonrası dönemde konteyner kentlerde yaşayan çocuk-ların doğadan uzak kalmaları nedeniyle planlanan projede, doğanın psikososyal destekleyici rolü temel alınmıştır. Bulgular, doğa temelli etkinliklerin çocukların doğaya yönelik sevgi, sorumluluk ve empati düzeylerini artırdığını; sosyal-duygusal gelişimlerine olumlu katkı sağladığını göstermiştir. Özellikle uzun süre doğadan uzak kalan çocukların doğa farkındalıklarında anlamlı artışlar gözlen-miştir.
The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of preschool educational acti-vities based on interaction with nature on children's awareness of nature. This study, conducted using a quantitative research design, administered pretests and posttests to 972 children aged 4–6 attending preschool in Hatay province. The Nature Connection Tendency Scale was used as the data collection tool. The scale was administered via Google Form under the guidance of teachers or parents, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Additionally, qualitative data obtained from teacher observation forms were evaluated using content analysis. The project, planned due to the isolation of children living in container cities in Hatay after the earthquake, was based on the psychosocial supportive ro-le of nature. The findings showed that nature-based activities increased children's love, responsibility, and empathy for nature and contributed positively to their social-emotional development. Significant increases in nature awareness were observed, particularly in children who had been isolated from nature for exten-ded periods
