Abstract Throughout human history, extensive research has been conducted to maintain health, delay the aging process, and achieve a healthy body and a positive state of mind. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between physical activity and anxiety symptoms in students of the Physical Education and Sports School (DUBESYO) teaching department at Dicle University, using the Physical Activity Level Short Form Scale and the Beck Anxiety Scale. The sample of the study consists of 65 volunteer students from the DUBESYO teaching department. Preliminary information and consent forms were used for the questionnaires. The ethics committee report from the Dicle University Social Sciences Institute Ethics Committee and the Turnitin similarity report are attached. The "International Physical Activity Questionnaire Short Form (IPAQ Short Form)" was used to determine the students' physical activity level, and the "Beck Anxiety Scale" was used to determine their psychological status. The Cronbach's alpha value was determined as 0.82. The SPSS 15.0 program and Spearman correlation coefficient were used in the analysis of the data. According to the obtained data, the average physical activity level of the students was determined as 2384.0±2884±4, and the average MET anxiety level was determined as 18.3±12.6 points. When the distribution of the physical activity levels of the students was examined, it was determined that 38.5% were inactive, 20.0% were minimally active, and 41.5% were very active. When the distribution of the anxiety levels of the students participating in the study was examined, it was found that 46.2% had low anxiety levels, 24.6% had moderate anxiety levels, and 29.2% had severe anxiety levels. In conclusion, a moderately strong negative and significant correlation was found between the physical activity levels and anxiety levels of the students participating in the study (p<0.01).
