Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, ilkokul öğrenci velilerinin çocuklarının eğitimine katılım düzeylerini belirlemek ve veli katılım durumunun demografik değişkenler açısından farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını incelemektir. Nicel bir yaklaşımla tasarlana araştırma tarama desenindedir. Araştırmanın örneklemi belirlenirken basit seçkisiz örnekleme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemi Sivas ilinde ilkokul düzeyinde çocukları eğitime devam eden 380 veliden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Gürbüztürk ve Şad (2010) tarafından geliştirilen “Veli Katılım Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS 25 programı kullanılarak, betimsel istatistiklerin yanı sıra bağımsız gruplar için T testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre ilkokul öğrenci velileri çocuklarının eğitimine yüksek düzeyde katılmaktadır. Velilerin eğitime katılım düzeyleri; ebeveynin cinsiyetine, ebeveynin eğitim durumuna, ailenin gelir durumuna çocuğun sınıf düzeyine ve çocuğun genel başarı düzeyine göre anlamlı bir şekilde farklılaşmaktadır. Özellikle velinin eğitim durumu, ailenin gelir düzeyi ve çocuğun genel başarı düzeyi ile ilgili bulgular öne çıkmaktadır. Bu bağlamda bu değişkenlerin velinin eğitime katılımını ne şekilde etkilediğini belirlemeye yönelik araştırmalar yapılması önerilmektedir.

Abstract
This study aims to determine the level of participation of parents of primary school students in their children's education and to examine whether parent involvement differs in terms of demographic variables. The research designed with a quantitative approach is in the screening design. A simple random sampling technique was used while determining the sample of the study. The sample of the study consists of 380 parents whose children continue their education at the primary school level in Sivas. The “Parent Participation Scale” developed by Gürbüztürk and Şad (2010) was used as a data collection tool in the research. In the analysis of the data, using the SPSS 25 program, besides descriptive statistics, T-test and one-way analysis of variance was performed for independent groups. According to the findings obtained from the research, parents of primary school students participate in the education of their children at a high level. Parents' level of participation in education; differs significantly according to the gender of the parent, the education level of the parent, the income status of the family, the grade level of the child and the general achievement level of the child. In particular, the findings related to the parent’s education level, the family's income level and the child's general success level come to the fore. In this context, it is recommended to research to determine how these variables affect the participation of parents in education.
