Abstract
Bu araştırmada 5. sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitabını sosyal adalet bağlamında incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman analizi deseniyle yapılmıştır. Çalışma materyali olarak 2021-2022 Eğitim Öğretim yılında ortaokullarda okutulan Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı Talim ve Terbiye Kurulu Başkanlığı tarafından ders kitabı olarak kabul edilen ve Ata Kitap Yayınevi tarafından yayımlanan 5. Sınıf Sosyal Bilgiler Ders Kitabı kullanılmıştır. Ders kitabındaki metinler ve görseller araştırmacılar tarafından ayrıntılı bir şekilde okunmuş ve incelenmiştir. Araştırma içerik analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Yapılan analiz neticesinde “Temel haklara ilişkin, farklılıkların bir arada yaşamasına ve haklara erişimde engellere ilişkin” olmak üzere üç temaya ulaşılmış ve bu temalara ait 20 kod ortaya çıkmıştır. Elde edilen temalar tablo halinde sunulmuştur. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre 5. sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitabında sosyal adalet açısından metin ve görsellerin kitap genelinde eşit dağılım göstermediği görülmüştür.

Abstract
In this research, it is aimed to examine the 5th grade social studies textbook in the context of social justice. The research was carried out with the document analysis pattern, which is one of the qualitative research methods. The 5th grade Social Studies textbook published by Ata Kitap Publishing House by the Ministry of National Education, which was taught in secondary schools in the years 2021-2022, was used as the study material. The texts and images in the textbook were read and studied in detail by the researchers. The research was analyzed by content analysis. As a result of the analysis, three themes were reached: "Relating to fundamental rights, coexistence of differences and barriers to accessing rights" and 20 codes belonging to these themes emerged. The themes obtained are presented in tables. According to the results of the research, it was seen that the text and visuals in the 5th grade social studies textbook did not show an equal distribution throughout the book in terms of social justice.
